“Laila Majnu” (1953) was an all India Pictures Production. It was directed by K Amarnath. Nutan and Shammi Kapoor had played the title roles in this movie. The movie also had Ratan Kumar, Ulhas, Begum Para, Kammo, Wasti etc in the movie.
I have discussed as many as six songs from this movie. Here is another song from the movie. It is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Only the audio of this song is available, but it is obvious that the song was picturised on Nutan.
Shakeel Badayuni is the lyricist. Music is composed by Ghulam Mohammad.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Nitin Shah.

Song-Ya ilaahi ho mubaarak tujhko ye tera jahaan (Laila Majnu)(1953) Singer-Asha Bhonsle, Lyrics-Shakeel Badayuni, MD-Ghulam Mohammad
Lyrics(Provided by Nitin Shah)
aaa aaa aaa
aaa aaa aaa aaa
aaa aaa aaa
ya ilaahi
ho mubaarak
tujhko yeh tera jahaan
dil ki barbaadi pe bajti hain yahaan shehnaaiyaan
ya ilaahi ho mubaarak
main woh bulbul hoon
ki jiska aashiyana lut gaya
aarzooyen mit gayin,
dil ka khazaana lut gaya
fasal e gul aane se pehle,
aa gayi fasal e khizaan
dil ki barbaadi pe bajti hain yahaan shehnaaiyaan
ya ilaahi ho mubaarak
haay kis manzil pe laayi
meri barbaadi mujhe
chaand sooraj keh rahe hain
aaj fariyaadi mujhe
bebasi per meri maatam
kar raha hai aasmaan
dil ki barbaadi pe bajti hain yahaan shehnaaiyaan
ya ilaahi ho mubaarak
tujhko yeh tera jahaan
dil ki barbaadi pe bajti hain yahaan shehnaaiyaan
ya ilaahi ho mubaarak

Ghulam Mohammad was assistant to Naushad. He was a wonderful music director but not given much chance. His swan song (film) was PAKEEZAH, which was released much after he had died. And it was so wonderful of Naushad to have scored the background music of this film.
