So this year 2023 has seen two centuries, both clocked in 28 days apiece. It is a vast improvement over the average days taken for the blog centuries of last few years. We are still far off from the all time record of a century in 11 days (achieved in 2011) but things are looking up as far as Blog daily strike rate is concerned.

Heartiest Congratulations on the 175 th Century.
I am amazed at the variety of statistics you maintain ! Reading the Century posts is a pleasure always because of the statistical data explanation.
The first 10000 songs came in the first about 6 years. Obviously the field was open for selecting songs in that period. Now of course the choice of song is not that easy and songs are now selected with specific objectives.
At the current rate we might reach the 20000 song mark in about two more years, I guess.
