Pyaar karne waalon ke liye hai duniya

Posted on: January 5, 2013

“Apradhi” (1947) was a Prabhat Pictures Production. It was produced by S Fatehlal and directed by Yashwant Pethkar. The movie had Madhubala, Ram Singh, Leela Pandey, Pran, Uma Dutt, Raj Kishore, Gouri, Srinivas Joshi, Manjrekar, Kishan Rao, M Naresh, Niranjan, Subodh, Vinod, Gangubai, Madhu Apte etc in it.

This movie was the debut movie of Madhubala as a leading lady. She was just 15 years of age at that time and naturally she was a few years away from fully blossoming into the Madhubala that we know.

Here is a song from this movie. This song gets played immediately after the opening credits of the movie. The picturisation shows Madhubala singing this song live in an All India Radio studio. Ram Singh, a school teacher and a bhakt of Bajrang Bali is doing his morning exercise that consists of performing vigorous “dand baithak”. His radio is also on and he is simultaneously listening to the song too. He loves the song so much that he falls in love with the singer. He writes the name of the singer on the radio set with a chalk. His face presses against that writing and the imprint “Sheela Devi” gets smeared on his cheek. After the song is over, he hurries up to the radio station, hoping to meet Sheela Devi. He meets Sheela Devi first in the radio station and then in the bus but without being aware of her identity.

The song is written by Amar Verma and its music is composed by Sudhir Phadke. The singer’s voice does not sound like the usual voices, though I seem to have listened to this voice. Based on varius comments made in YT, I tend to feel that the song is sung by Sitara Kanpuri. I request our knowledgeable readers to thow more light on this matter.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Rajendra Bhatt.

Song-Pyaar karne waalon ke liye hai duniya (Apradhi)(1949) Singer-Sitara Kanpuri, Lyrics-Amar Verma, MD-Sudhir Phadke

Lyrics(Provided by Rajendra Bhatt)

duniya ha haa duniya
pyaar ki duniya,
pyaar ki duniya,
pyar karne walon ke liye hai duniya
pyar karne walon ke liye hai duniya

kaliyon men bazaaro men, baago men gulzaaron men
kaliyon men bazaaro men, baago men gulzaaron men
pyaar kaa sansaar hai ghar ghar ki diwaron men
pyaar kaa sansaar hai ghar ghar ki diwaron men
sansaar karne waalon ke liye hai duniya
sansaar karne waalon ke liye hai duniya
ye hai duniya ye duniya
pyaar karne waalon ke liye hai duniya

boodhe hon ha ha jawaan ho
babu hon ha ha kisaan ho
panchhi hon chaahe haiwan hon
bandar ho chaahe insaan ho
pariwaar karne waalon ke liye hai duniya
pariwaar karne waalon ke liye hai duniya
ye hai duniya ye duniya
pyaar karne waalon ke liye hai duniya
pyaar karne waalon ke liye hai duniya

jo naa karta pyaar uska jeenaa hi bekaar hai,
jeenaa hi bekaar hai
jo naa karta pyaar uska jeenaa hi bekaar hai,
jeenaa hi bekaar hai
baat naa puchhe koi jiski na biwi naa gharbaar hai, biwi na gharbaar hai
baat naa puchhe koi jiski na biwi naa gharbaar hai, biwi na gharbaar hai
gharbaar karne waalon ke liye hai duniya
gharbaar karne waalon ke liye hai duniya
ye hai duniya ye duniya
pyaar karne waalon ke liye hai duniya
pyaar karne waalon ke liye hai duniya

jo hai jodi jodi
jo hai jodi jodi
unki kismat lambi chaudi hai
jo koi rahe akelaa uske paas naa phooti kowdi hai
jo koi rahe akelaa uske paas naa phooti kowdi hai
aankhe chaar karne waalon ke liye hai duniya
aankhe chaar karne waalon ke liye hai duniya
ye hai duniya ye duniya
pyaar karne waalon ke liye hai duniya
pyaar karne waalon ke liye hai duniya

Atul ji,
APRADHI was a film of 1949 and NOT the debut film of Madhubala.
Madhubala’s first screen appearance as a child artist was Basant-1942.
As a Heroine her first film was kidar Sharma’s NEEL KAMAL-1947.her Hero was young Raj Kapoor.
Till Apradhi, she had done some more films also.
As per the HFGK,this song is sung by Sitara Kanpuri.
