Bhool na jaanaa aaj ki baaten

I have posted a song from “Waapas” (1943) in the past. Here is another song from this movie. The audio quality of this song is quite decent considering that it is nearly 70 years old. The song is a duet which is sung by Asit Baran and Indrani Roy and it is picturised on them too.
Munshi Zakir Hussain is the lyricist and R C Boral is the music director.
What a sweet and melodious song ! I fell in love with the song after listening to the song very first time. As I have commented while discussing the earlier song from this movie, Asit Baran’s voice sounds so rich and Kishore Kumar like. Actually it should be the other way round. I should say that Kishore Kumar’s voice sounds so Asit Baran like. And the female voice is very sweet to listen to, too.
It is a gem of a song, and I am thankful to those who have preserved it for so long and who have shared this song with other music lovers.
Song-Bhool na jaanaa aaj ki baaten (Waapas) (1943) Singers-Asit Baran, Indrani Roy, Lyrics-Munshi Zaakir Hussain, MD-Raichand Boral
Lyrics
bhool na jaanaa
aaj ki baaten
bhool na jaanaa
ye upwan ye samay suhaanaa
bhool na jaanaa
ye upwan ye samay suhaanaa
bhool na jaanaa
donon kaa aakar mil jaanaa
bhool na jaanaa
donon kaa aakar mil jaanaa
bhool na jaanaa
chhupnaa
ruknaa
aur sharmaanaaa
chhupanaa rukanaa aur sharmaanaaa
bhool na jaanaa aaj ki baaten
bhool na jaanaa
khushi se hai man phoolaa phoolaa
kaisaa pyaaraa pyaaraa jhoolaa
khushi se hai man phoolaa phoolaa
kaisaa pyaaraa pyaaraa jhoolaa
jhoolan apnaa
aur jhulaanaa
jhoolan apnaa
aur jhulaanaa
bhool na jaanaa aaj kii baaten
bhool na jaanaa
dil se dil kaa taar milaakar
dil se dil kaa taar milaakar
prem kaa sundar saaz bajaakar
prem kaa sundar saaz bajaakar
jhoom jhoom
jhoom jhoom donon kaa gaanaa
jhoom jhoom
jhoom jhoom donon kaa gaanaa
aa aa aa haa haa haa haa
bhool na jaanaa aaj ki baaten
bhool na jaanaa
