Nain mile chain kahaan

I have posted five songs from “Basant Bahaar”(1956) in this blog in the past. It has been pointed out to me that a memorable song from this movie is not yet posted.
I have of course heard this song “nain mile chain kahaan” many a times, but I was not aware which movie this song was from. Now, thanks to the farmaishes of my readers, I know that this song belongs to “Basant Bahaar” (1956).
Here is this wonderful semi classical song (based on Raag Bhairavi) which is sung by Lata and Manna Dey.The song is picturised on Bharat Bhushan and Nimmi. Shailendra is the lyricist and Shankar Jaikishan composed the music.

Thanks Kamathji for pointing out this missing and unavailable antara of this melodious song. Now, this rare verse made available on YT in digital quality by Anil Chhapariyaji, many many thanks to him. I am also in search of this antara since last five years after reading comment of Kamathji. Now our search ends here :

Probably this song had different versions for movie and record as video of this antara is not available anywhere.

Minor correction in the lyrics of last antara given by Kamathji

door door gali gali

The audio version with extra stanza is still not full version as it has missing these lines sung by Manna Dey :
kaun se gagan ke tale

This song is incomplete. There is a third verse which runs something like:
mere man sajana bahar jaise anagna
tujh bin rasiya to sach koi rang na
man me magan muskuraoon
jhoot moot kaise gaaon
ye kya kiya sainyan saware
This verse has been cut out from all versions released for sale. There is cut-paste job at the end of the second verse bringing the song to an abrupt end. I am looking for the full song with all three verses for quite some time. My search is still on ….
