Atul’s Song A Day- A choice collection of Hindi Film & Non-Film Songs

Har din hai nayaa har raat niraali hai

Posted on: December 20, 2010

“Shikaari” (1946) was one of the earliest movies of S D Burman as a music director. The songs of this movie became quite popular and helped S D Burman in getting a foothold in the Hindi movie music industry.

I have already discussed one memorable song from this movie.

Here is a lovely duet from “Shikaari” (1946). This song is sung by Amirbai Karnataki and Ashok Kumar. Gopal Singh Nepali is the lyricist. Only the audio of this song is available, but it can be guessed that the song was picturised on Ashok Kumar and Paro devi.

Song-Har din hai nayaa har raat niraali hai (Shikaari) (1946) Singers-Amirbai Karnataki, Ashok Kumar, Lyrics-G S Nepali,MD-S D Burman

Lyrics

har din hai nayaa
ha haa haa haa ha haa
har din hai nayaa,
har raat niraali hai
tu hai dil mein to roz deewaali hai
har din hai nayaa
ha haa haa haa ha ha ha

sunsaan ghanaa jungle
man hai dar se chanchal
man hai dar se chanchal
o chanchal nadiyaa,
tu pyaase ke paas kahaan aayi
chanchal nadiyaa,
tu pyaase ke paas kahaan aayi
nadiyaa ko pyaase piyaa ki
preet bulaa laayi
jungle ki dagariyaa kaanton waali hai
tu hai dil mein to roz deewaali hai
har din hai nayaa

raat khili si chaand si sundar
pyaar bhari tum kaun
tum kaun
tum kaun
main teri deewaani
main teri deewaani
prem bhi paa re, bole shikaare,
bhed bhare tum kaun
bhed bhare tum kaun
main raajaa
aa aa
tum raani,
tum raani
bharpoor chaman hai rut matwaali hai
tu hai dil mein to roz deewaali hai
o ho
o o o o o
ho gaur kiyaa to aur
ho gaur kiyaa to kyaa raaten kaali
tum ho meri aankhon ki ujiyaali
chupke-chupke baaten hotin,
chupke hotaa pyaar
chupke hotaa pyaar
isi tarah anjaan mein
bantaa hai nayaa sansaar
aa aa
bantaa hai nayaa sansaar
ham do panchhi bas ek hi daali hai
tu hai dil mein to roz deewaali hai
har din hai nayaa
