A movie like “Mughal e Azam” (1960) can boggle one’s mind even today, more than half a century after this movie was released. And I am not just taliking about the movie. I am talking about several aspects of the movie. It was a magnum opus in every respect.
When it comes to its songs, I wonder just how many memorable songs this song has. Songs wise, the songs of this movie are like children in a family in olden days. There was no control on their numbers. 😀
Here is yet another song from this movie. This song is sung by Lata and it is picturised on MadhubalaSheela Dalaya, playing Madhubala’s sister.
Shakeel Badayuni is the lyricist. Music is composed by Naushad.

Atul ji,
The actress in the above song is SHEELA DALAYA,doing the role of Suraiya in the film.She is supposed to be Anarkali’s sister.
Sheela Dalaya acted only in this film,as she got married during the shooting of this film and opted for housewife’s role in life thereafter.
