“Nirmal” (1952) is a movie that I knew nothing about. This obscure movie was produded by Shankar Theatre and directed by S Upendra. the star cast of the movie included Amarnath, Shanta Kanwar, Purnima, Shyam Kumar, Mirza Musharaf, Habib, Cuckoo etc.
More than the movie, I am interested in the music of such movies which often tend to throw up nice songs. And that is what happenes in case of this movie as well.
Here is a song from “Nirmal” (1952). It is sung by Talat Mehmood. Boti B A is the lyricist. Music is composed by Bulo C Rani.
Only the audio of this song is available and even the cast of the movie is not fully known, so it is difficult to guess how and on whom this song is picturised. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this matter.

Atul ji,
NIRMAL(1952) was produced by R.L.Dembala and B.C.Pandit.
Amarnath and Purnima were the lead pair,on whom this song was filmed,supported by Shanta kumari,Leela Kumari,Habib,Shyam kumar,Cuckoo,shamlal etc.
Nirmal(Amarnath) is an honest young man who loves Purnima(Purnima) and gets married to her.He is sent to Calcutta by his office.He goes alone,leaving wife to look after the ailing father.After few months,when father is very ill,Nirmal leaves for home.Grabbing this opportunity,Champaklal(Shyam kumar) ,in his office does a freud and the blame comes to Nirmal.Police arrest Nirmal the day his father dies.The story details how the courageous Purnima goes to calcutta and proves Nirmal innocent,with the help of some friends.
