“Pushpaanjali”(1970) was produced and directed by Kishore Sahu for Kishore Sahu productions, Bombay. The movie had Sanjay Khan, Naina Sahu, Om Prakash, Kishore Sahu, Fariyal, Premnath, Lalita Pawar, Manmohan Krishn, Shabnam, Lalita Chatterji, Jankidas, Asrani, Brahm Bhardwaj, Mridula, Nazir Kashmiri, Gaurang, Shahid etc in it.
The movie had five songs in it. Two of the songs, which were the most popular songs from the movie, have already been covered in the past.
Here is the third song from “Pushpaanjali”(1970) to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Lata. Anand Bakshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Lamikant Pyarelal.
The song is picturised as an “in love” genre of song on Naina Sahu, with Sanjay Khan also visible in the picturisation.
As can be noticed, this was yet another attempt by Kishore Sahu to launch his daughter in the film world, after “Hare Kaanch Ki Choodiyaan”(1967). Like the earlier attempt, this attempt too failed. To their credit, they did not live in denial any longer and called it quits after this attempt.
