“Gambler” (1960) was directed by Dwarka Khosla for Vikas Productions, Bombay. The movie had Premnath, Shakila,Pran, K N Singh, Cuckoo, Shammi, Madan Puri, Agha etc in it.
This movie had seven songs in it. Three songs have been covered in the past.
Here is the fourth song from “Gambler” (1960) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Prem Dhawan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Chitragupta.
Only audio of the song is available. Video of the movie and its songs are not available online it seems. My guess is that this “expression of love” song was picturised on Shakila. I have based my guess on the asumption that only lead actors in Hindi movies tended to fall in love and sing songs. Other actors in the movies would not lip sync such songs. 🙂
I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of this song.
