“Jaadu Mahal”(1962) was produced and directed by Akku for Akku Films, Bombay. Azad and Helen are the lead pair. Others in the cast are Hiralal, Krishna Kumari, Ram Kumar, Sheikh, Hira Sawant, Tun Tun, Akram, Parshuram, Habib, Jilaani, Zippy, Laali, Ajit, Rekha, Dilip, Bholanath, Trilok Nath, Baadshah, Daatu etc.
There were six songs in the movie. The movie made its debut in 2015 when Sudhir Jee was on a mission to introduce the till then unrepresented movies of 1960s to the blog.
That continued to be the only song from this movie till now. One decade later, when I checked up, I find that almost all songs of this movie have become available.
Here is the second song from “Jaadu Mahal”(1962) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and chorus. Shewan Rizvi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Bulo C Rani.
Only audio of the song is available. Seeing that Helen was the lead actress in the movie, this song could well have been picturised on her but we cannot be sure. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the movie as well as on the picturisation of the song.
