Today 28th September 2025 is the 96th Birth Anniversary of the Nightingale of India Lata Mangeshkar. So here’s a rare song to celebrate this happy day. The song is “Gaon Gaon Ghoomi Shaher Shaher Chaana” from Jalte Badan (1973). The song is written by Maya Govind and composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.

This song is lip synced by Kum Kum and her character sings it when she comes to the city to search for her lover, Kiran Kumar.
The lyrics are based on audio version which seems longer but the last 90+ seconds is only been (mostly played on an instrument called Clavioline) music.
