“Senapati”(1961) was produced by Jai Gopal Mohla and directed by Kedar Kapoorfor Mohla Films, Bombay. The movie had Prithviraj Kapoor, Nalini Jaywant, Amarnath, Veena, K N Singh, Tiwari, Helen, Durga Khote, Chaman Puri, Heera Sawant, Rajan Kapoor, Jankidas, Jeevan Kala, Madhumati etc.
“Senapati”(1961) had seven songs in it. Four songs have been covered in the past.
Here is the fifth song from “Senapati”(1961) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Rajinder Krishn is the lyricist. Music is composed by Madan Mohan.
Mr Sadnand Kamath had watched the VCD of this movie and he had covered a song from this movie in the past. That song Mat kholo ghoonghat pat sainyyaa was also sung by Asha Bhonsle and it was picturised on Asha Bhonsle. Mr Sadnand Kamath had watched the VCD in order to see the picturisation of the song being discussed here, viz-“madira chhalk mere nainon se” but he found this song edited out of the VCD. Seeing that the other Asha Bhonsle song in the movie was picturised on Helen, one can make an educated guess that this song too must have been picturised on Helen. I request our knowledgeable readers who may have watched this movie to throw light on the picturisation of the song, which is the most popular song of this obscure movie.
