Seeing that I receive farmaishes (requests) from my readers , It would be a good idea to have a separate page for that. So here is this page. Please use it to give your farmaishes for songs that you may like me to include in the blog. Just make sure to check that the song asked by you is not yet posted. You may refer to the pages that shows the complete lists of posted songs (by movie/ by music director/by year- as the case may be) for reference.

This one is ravindra jain`s melodious gem and the playback by asha bhosle out of the world.
“Saathire bhool na jaana mera pyar, meri waffa ka ai mere humdum, kar lena aithbaar,saathire bhool na jaana mera pyar”
This one has to be in out blog.
Further, the song is effectively picturised on Aprna sen & Shathrughna sinha.
This film of Hrishida has not got its due, the film is very good.
But If you hear the audio track without seeing the visuals also, really,”Aapke aankh zaroor bhar aayenge”, I am not exaggarating, really “I mean it”, “mauka mile to”, please check this iconic song.

I know you will not find enough time for all the farmaishes, But, I want to push these 2 song (of “Gulzar & R.D.Burman combination)before you.
I am partial towards first song sung superbly by Asha bhosle, picturised on Zarina wahaab & Mithun chakraborthy, Because whenever I get disillusioned by cruel ways of practical world, I turn to this song for consolation, which does have a unknown healing touch on me.
This song was from “Sitaara(1980), which has been directed by Meraj, who died 5 years back, He was assistant director to Gulzar and married to Rakhee Gulzar`s Hair dresser. Meraj directed 2(as far as I know) movies independently(Palkon ki chhaon mein-1977:super music by Laxmikant pyarelal)(&Sitara)
Meraj`s direction was more or less same(sensitive) as like his guru Gulzar. He died a death of a disappointed man, I have read that bit of news in Filmfare,4 or 5 years ago.
In this film Zarina wahab, a small town girl comes to Mumbai, to act in Hindi films alongwith her innocent fiancee(or caretaker)Mithun chakraborthy.
Film dwelves around Zarina`s steady climb to stardom and her difficutlties in coping up with filmy duniya and her realtionship with her innocent lover mithun chakraborthy.
The song goes like this
1)”Ye saaye hain, ye duniya hai, parchaayiyon ki ye saaye hain, bhari bheed mein khaali tanhaayiyon ki ye saaye hain”

recently saw that there was a K A Abbas movie starring Raj Kapoor with Shammi Kapoor with either Nimmi or Kum kumas the fvemale leads. ve we already explored the songs of this movie. think the movie was “Char Dil Chaar Rahein” and ithink the movie had either Premnath or Ajit as positive characters

Picturised on zarina wahab and mithun, while they were publicising thein tent talkies movie, around the streets of village in bullock or ghoda gaadi.The picturisation is hillarious, while the Gramphone record playing the song, gets stuck. I also want to recommend Naushadji`s songs of
“Love and god(1986)”, which is long forgotten, nevertheless that film has got very great songs.(*Nimmi, sanjeev kumar,pran, achala sachdev,jayant)
Rafi,lata,mannadey,talat mehmood, all these legends contributed immensely to the music score of this film, eventhough it was released years after it has got released
I don`t know exactly the lyrics of the songs of this film, which was released by “T.Series” company, they have not publicised it properly(I dont`t know exactly the reason), on the eve of its late release.
That`s why I request you to recognise the songs of this film, on the occassion of “Naushadji`s” Birthday.

Dear Mr. Atul, would you be able to trace the below song? It is an old song(had heard Peenaz Masani sing some 25 yeas back) sung by Asha Bhonsale and Peenaz Masani.

I will be highly obliged.
Also I find Music Director Jaidev (eg. Reshma aur Shera film) has some very beautiful compositions to his credit. There are almost no song of his except 1. (Your Music Director list does not mention it)

Peenaz Masani and her songs are new by the standards of this blog. Moreover, she mostly sang non movie songs. If this is a song from some movie, then I will be interested in searching for it.
I have 20 songs composed by Jaidev in this blog. Yes, I agree that I need to have more songs of Jaidev in this blog.

It is snowing here and I have made ladi pav and bhaji for dinner. Naturally, therefore, I remembered the song “Ladi re ladi tujhse aankh jo ladi … “, googled it, found it was from Shola aur Shabnam, came here, and it hasn’t yet found a spot here. So here is my farmaish of the day! I am surprised that Raja and/or Prakash chandra hadn’t put in a farmaish for this till now!
I actually seem to remember two lines of this song:
Ladi re ladi tujhse aankh jo ladi badi muddat padi
Zara sun balma main to kabse khadi …
It doesn’t seem to be up there on Youtube!

I was at a friend’s house for dinner and someone was singing old songs there, so I came back and looked for some of the songs, and discovered that at least four songs from Sangam are not here:

I have surfed the net all over for this song/nazm:
khud jiyo auron ko bhi jeene do,
yehi to hai zindagi ka raasta,
tumhien aman ka shanti ka vasta,
this is not available even on youtube. i am very much surprised did not anticipate this difficulty. This was widely used in school essembly , and i found on some website that today itself that it is sung by the great mohammed rafi (also). Frannkly i was expencting many versions (by various singers). I u could find and just send the lyrics atlease, on urgent basis. i shall be ever grateful.
