Readers farmaishes
Seeing that I receive farmaishes (requests) from my readers , It would be a good idea to have a separate page for that. So here is this page. Please use it to give your farmaishes for songs that you may like me to include in the blog. Just make sure to check that the song asked by you is not yet posted. You may refer to the pages that shows the complete lists of posted songs (by movie/ by music director/by year- as the case may be) for reference.
Thanks !

There are 2 more asha bhosle solo songs in 1971 “Dorahaa”, which are superb:
a)Dole jhumka mora, bole pyara kangna, koi aayega aaj more
angna:
b)meri bagiya ki kali, tum sada hi khilna:lorie type song wishing
Radio ceylone people used to broadcast the songs of this film regularly on its afternoon 12.30 a.m. programme called “Behnon ke pasand ke geet”, I used to enjoy “bole jhumka mora and other two songs”,eventhough the audio quality is very poor at our region.

there is one more peppy ,teasing song sung by asha bhosle in 1970 “Jaane anjaane”:
“Chaahe tum pyar karo,ya beqaraar karo, raam kasam bura na maanoongi”:
picturised on shammi kapoor, leena chandavarkar

This sensitive film got 2 more beautifully picutrised songs:
1) Lata mangeshkar:”Choti si ek kali khili thi baag mein ek din…phir kya hua jaane na “(song telling sad story of heroine to his father)
2)manna dey, lata:classical raag based composition:”Hey sakhi raadhike, baawri ho gayee…..”

Thank you Peevesie`s Mom ji, for your affectionate welcome and wishes
Atulji,
“Dil ne pukara ” lata solo reminds me following:
Kalyanji anandji and lata solo combimations are not as prolific as laxmi pyare & lata solo combos.
One of lata and kalyanji anandji combinations, picturised on ageing mala sinha and young sanjeev kumar starrer
” KANGAN “(I don`t know the year may be 74 or 73)
a)Lata:”Sataaye saari raina kanware kangna, tera naam le leke mere sajna, o mere sajna- very good lively composition, heroine complains about her beloved)
b)another lively duet song from the same movie sung by mahendra kapoor and usha khanna . Yes, usha khanna only sings the humming part, as done earlier in kalyanji`s “Johnny mera naam”(Pal bhar ke liye koi hamein pyar kar lein jhoota hi sahi with kishoreda)
“Jhuke jo teri naina,ke choodi teri khanki, ke paayal teri chanki, ye teri meri preet gori hai baalpan ki”(picturised on mala sinha, sanjeev kumar)

while sending my previous farmaish,at afternoon, I thought of Duniya meri jeb mein title song, then thought that it would be a slow song for your requirement,(further I didn`t know the year of that film`s release) but see the co-incidence, you have included that song within half an hour.
Anyways, just missed to recommend one more song(for merry making) sung by lata and chorus from 1965 LUTERA:(laxmi pyare:anand bakshi)
“O dilwaalo, saaz-e-dil pe jhoom lo, gaa lo, lalalalala…..”
picturised on bela bose and others on the top of a huge boat
(which my mother sang,( she is a crazy criket fan) while India got world cup,in a mood of happiness, which is her favourite song also.

Atulji,
I just missed to recommend ,the merry making dance song of 1980 Hindi movie “Abdullha”, anyways, I recommend this song for any other happy occassions, but this song is one of its kind.
It is one of the gem created by the combination of
Asha bhosle,R.d.burman and Helen
(eventhough she is aged at that time) picturised beautifully by Sanjay khan, capturing the mood of the song on celluloid.
“Jashn-e-bahara, mehfil-e-yaara, abaad rahe, oo..ooo.
aaj ki raat sabko yaad rahe”

Here is my first farmaish – I searched here and I guess it has not been requested before (unless I did not search with the right words).
The song is a wonderful qawwali from the movie Al Hilal (1958). The qawwali is Hamen To Loot Liya Milke Husn Walon Ne.
I was going through the songs tagged as Qawwali on the blog and could not find this one that I like so much.

It must be Peevesie`s momji, I can`t remember exactly, who asked for lyrics of some bhoothiya song picturised on Rekha in 1980 “Neeyat”, It was there in my subconscious mind, (every now and then eating my head and I used to curse myself saying that I can`t recollect the lyrics of my favourite song)
just now, I recollected the lyrics of it(Kalyanji anandji, gulshan bawra, jeethendra, rekha)
“Pyaase dil ki pyaas bujhaane, soyee huyee taqdeer jagaane aajaa aajaa..tere liye main hoon, mnere liye tu hai…aa jaa aajaa”
Then I searched it , in youtube, it was there,
It was one of my favourite haunting song sung by Ashaji, which belongs to our blog.

Hum aur tum aur yeh samaa … Rafi in Dil Deke Dekho

Atul ji,
The ocean of delightful old songs is too deep to fathom every song,I know, but some songs which have made a permanent ‘basera’ in heart need to be heard more often.
Yours is a place where we,the thirsty, come with great hope of finding this solace.
You have given 2 songs from ‘Chalti ka naam gaadi’,so far.
I would request you to post this song:
‘In haathonse sabki gaadi chal rahi hai, vah, vah
Haath la ustaad, kyun kaisi kahi hai ?’
This was a song from this movie, which was removed from the film, within a month of release,as it conatins the following line:
‘Rota tha Dilip Kumar”
I had the good fortune to see this song in the film.
Anyway, since the record of this song was already in the market, the song was not withdrawn, but no copies were issued further.
This song audio is available at many places.
Please let us have this song.
