“Chakravarty Vikramaditya”(1964) was a dubbed version of a Telugu movie. It was directed by Jampana for PVVSM Productions, Madras. The movie had Anjali Devi, N.T.Rama Rao, S.V.Rangarao, Kaantha Rao, Relangi, Girija,
Padmani Priyadarshini, Kuchaalaa Kumaari, Sukumari, Rajaarajeshwari, Jothee, Reetha, Lalithaa Rao etc in it.

The movie had seven songs in it. One song has been covered in the past.

Here is the second song from “Chakravarty Vikramaditya”(1964) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Rafi. Saraswati Kumar Deepak is the lyricist. Music is composed by P Nageshwar Rao.

Only audio of the song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of the song. My guess is that it is a background song, or may be song being sung by some mendicant as the Royal couple are shown getting separated, with misfortune befalling them as a result of the “berahami” of “duniya”. 🙂

Lyrics of the song were sent to me by Prakashchandra.

Today we listen to the second song from this movie which is sung by Asha Bhonsle and Talat Mahmood.
