There have been many movies called “Devdas”, but the original one was produced in 1935 with K L Saigal playing the lead role.
Here is a “Devdas” song sung by K L Saigal. This song, written by Kidar Sharma and composed by Timir Baran. The song “piya bin na” is a drunkard song and this song may well have shown the way for similar songs in future.
