Abhi abhi thhi dushmani

“Zakhmee” (1975) was a movie which had very nice music. And I thought for many years that R D Burman was the music director of this movie.
It was only later that I came to know that this movie in fact was the debut movie of Bappi Lahiri as a music director. And he certainly made a dream debut.
Here is a nice song from the movie which is sung by Lata and picturised on Reena Roy (another newcomer- though not a debutant). Gauhar Kanpuri was the lyricist.

there are a few corrections to be done in the lyrics…..
such as-in first stanza-“dil wil mere manzil nahi”
second stanza-“aah chodo na,hmm gori gori…….adaaon se nata nahi jodo ji”
third stanza-“aise hi akele mein pyaar kiya jata hain”
another stanza is there,i am giving the lyrics below-
“banoge pujari tum
mujhhe devi janoge
beetein jaha do din toh
baatein bhi na maanoge
haan banogepujari tum

Listening to this song for the first time today.. the initial interlude music i think was copied for one of the songs from Baazigar starring Shahrukh Khan.. many years later. Could someone confirm please?.
