Here is yet another song about whose existence I was totally ignorant. And what a superb song it is ! It is from the movie “Adhikaar” (1954) from which I have already posted an equally awesome song ( “kamaata hoon bahut kuch” sung by Kishore Kumar and Geeta Dutt).
This particular song is a stage song where Usha Kiran and other college girls sing a song demonstrating what they were going to do with their college degrees after they graduate.
A very funny and at the same time quite poignant, realistic and very observant song it is. This song is written by Prem Dhawan and the music director is Avinash Vyas, who was known for his music mainly in mythological movies, but here he shone in creating some amazingly funny songs.

Saw this movie yesterday. Quite a nice movie. Considering it was 1954, it has none of that preachiness, sadness, misery that many movies of that time had.

Never heard this song before.
And thoroughly enjoyed it now.
