Main aashiq hoon bahaaron ka nazaaron ka

Here is the title song of the Raj Kapoor movie “Aashiq” (1962). Like what was the case in his earlier movies viz “Aawaara” and “Chhaliyya”, this song from “Aashiq” serves as an introduction song as well, where the hero inroduces himself as the “Aashiq” and describes in good detail what are the things for which he is the “aashiq” (lover)
This song in fact became so popular that a subsequent movie made in 1970s starring Rajesh Khanna derived the title of that movie from the first line of this song. Yes, “Aashique hoon bahaaron ka” was the name of that Rajesh Khanna movie, and incidentally, that movie also had a title/ introduction song with a similar initial line.
This song is sung by Mukesh and the music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan, but the lyricist is a somewhat lesser known name viz Shaharyar.

The lyrics of the song were written by SHAILENDRA and not SHAHARYAR.Kindly rectify the tag to SHAILENDRA .Also with SHAILENDRA and HASRAT JAIPURI writing for SJ makes confusion in crediting the song to real lyricist of the song.The song in question is TUM AAJ MERE SANG HANS lo – is written by SHAILENDRA and not HASRAT JAIPURI.

The song has been written by Shailendra and not by Shaharyar. The titles of the film show the names of lyricists as Hasrat Jaipuri and Shailendra only.
