If Shammi Kapoor could act in “An Evening in Paris” then Vishwajeet could act in “Night in London”. If Shammi Kapoor’s movie could have lilting music by Shankar Jaikishan, then Vishwajeet movie would have the music of Laxmikant Pyarelal to match.
“Night in London” in fact had a comedy song too. And this lesser known song was picturised on Johny Walker. In this song, Johny Walker is all decked up to go and meet his girl friend, but he comes across a fierce dog on the way. Now, we have had many songs sung by a man to a lady to appease her, here Johny Walker sings trying to curry favour with the canine.
This funny song was written by Anand Bakshi and it was sung by Rafi.

Johny Walker songs were always fun. I used to enjoy his acting and also his songs.

It would be his 86th anniversary as he was born in 1923.

seeing johnny walker in this song reminded me of a few other johnny walker songs. there was “all line clear ” from the raj kapoor-nargis movie “chori chori”. then there was “main bambai ka babu naam mera anjaana” from the dilip kumar movie “naya daur”.
i just wanted to know if you ve already posted these songs. infact my dad once told me there were a few movies with johnny walker as hero and “cartoon m.a” is one of them
