Lyrics
paanv chhoo lene do phoolon ko inaayat hogi, inaayat hogi
varnaa hamko nahin, inko bhi shikaayat hogi, shikaayat hogi
aap jo phool bichhaayen unhen ham thukraayen
aap jo phool bichhaayen unhen ham thukraayen
hamko dar hai
hamko dar hai ke ye tauheen-e-muhabbat hogi, muhabbat hogi
dil ki bechain umangon pe karam farmaao
dil ki bechain umangon pe karam farmaao
itnaa ruk ruk
itnaa ruk ruk ke chalogi to qayaamat hogi, qayaamat hogi
paanv chhoo lene do phoolon ko inaayat hogi, inaayat hogi
sharm roke hai idhar, shauk udhar kheenche hai
sharm roke hai idhar, shauk udhar kheenche hai
kyaa khabar thi
kyaa khabar thi tabhi is dil ki ye haalat hogi
ye haalat hogi
sharm gairon se huaa karti hai apnon se nahin
sharm gairon se huaa karti hai apnon se nahin
sharm ham se
sharm ham se bhi karogi to museebat hogi, museebat hogi
paanv chhoo lene do
paanv chhoo lene do phoolon ko inaayat hogi, inaayat hogi
hamko dar hai ke ye tauheen-e-muhabbat hogi, muhabbat hogi

One of the few songs that I feel a charge of electricity flowing between the two lovers without even touching each other or showing an ounce of song.
I always loved the way the actors of yester years portrayed the emotions of shy, flutter in heart, butterflies in stomach and the pure love in their eyes and faces. That kind is not seen in movies now-a-days.

Ooooh, I loooove this song.
Whenever I listen to it, I get lost in it.
No wonder, when the concoction is of Sahir’s lyrics with Roshan’s music.
And Rafi saab’s voice with Lata’s.
I am a sucker for good lyrics and this one is right up there.
Not complicated lyrics, just powerful in conveying emotions of love.
