I have listened to this song many a times, and I liked this song, but all these days I had no idea which movie this song was from.
It comes as a surprise to me to know that this song is from “Geet” (1970). This song is sung by Mahendra Kapoor and Lata and picturised on Rajendra Kumar and Mala Sinha. Considering that the title song of this song is sung by Rafi and picturised on Rajendra Kumar, I had no clue that Mahendra Kapoor too had sung for Rajendra Kumar in this movie.
Anand Bakshi is the lyricist and Kalyanji Anandji composed the music for this song.

Lyricist is Hasrat Jaipuri and not Anand Bakshi. Correction needed.

Please correct the lyricist`s name of this song as “HASRAT JAIPURI”
Anand Bakshi was not the lyricist of this song

Just fantastic going through this blog.
I really love this song “jiske sapne hame roz aate rahe” from the film GEET.
Mahendra Kapoor sahab sang some fantastic songs and really held his own against Rafi sahab, Talat sahab et. al.
This song made my day.
