Teri soorat se nahin milti kisi ki soorat

I was aware of a 1948 movie called “Ziddi”, which was the debut movie of Kishore Kumar as a playback singer. But there was another movie of this name in 1964. This movie “Ziddi” (1964) was a Shammi Kapoor like movie with Joy Mukherji in lead role.
Here is a Rafi song from this movie . This is a “tasweer” song where Joy Mukherji has a photo of a girl and he keeps searching for that girl with the help of the photo. Normal people would do so discreetly, but being a Bollywood hero, he feels obliged to sing a song while he goes along. Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist and Shankar Jaikishan composed the music.

song-Teri soorat se nahin milti kisi ki soorat (Ziddi) (1964) singer-Rafi, Lyrics-Hasrat Jaipuri, MD-S d Burman
Lyrics
teri soorat se nahin milti kisi ki soorat
teri soorat se nahin milti kisi ki soorat
ham jahaan mein teri tasweer liye phirte hain
teri soorat se nahin milti kisi ki soorat
khoob chehraa hai teraa donon jahaan hain paagal
saamne tere hai pheekaa wo haseen taaj mahal
teri zulfon ne sanam dil meraa baandh liyaa
toone ai jaan-e-sitam pyaar kaa jaam diyaa
zulf ki ham jawaan zanjeer liye phirte hain
teri soorat se nahin milti kisi ki soorat
ham jahaan mein teri tasweer liye phirte hain
teri soorat se nahin milti kisi ki soorat
ye to duniyaa hai yahaan ek nahin laakh haseen
jo adaa dekhi hai tujh mein wo kisi mein bhi nahin
saamnaa teraa jab hogaa to qayaamat bhi hogi
aankh jab tujhse milegi to mohabbat bhi hogi
pyaar ki ham ajab taaseer liye phirte hain
teri soorat se nahin milti kisi ki soorat
ham jahaan mein teri tasweer liye phirte hain
teri soorat se nahin milti kisi ki soorat
chaandni raat bhi zaalim teri parchhaayin hai
aur sooraj ne tere gaalon se chamak paayi hai
gar tujhe dekh le Kashmir to sharmaa jaaye
aur farishtaa jo agar dekh le lalchaa jaaye
ham naye rang ki ik heer liye phirte hain
teri soorat se nahin milti kisi ki soorat
ham jahaan mein teri tasweer liye phirte hain
teri soorat se nahin milti kisi ki soorat
