When I select songs to be posted in a day, I ensure that they are of different moods, genres etc. And indeed this song is of a different mood from the other two. But I am surprised to know that all the three songs that I have posted so far have their music directors and lyricists in common. Madan Mohan is the music director and Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist in all these three songs.
The fact that these three songs with common music director and lyricist had as many as five different singers singing songs of three different moods shows the versatility that Madan Mohan and Rajinder Krishan were capable of.
This particular song is from “Chacha Zindabad” (1959). This song is a stage song where Kishore Kumar appears on the stage and sings this song “Ae haseeon naazneenon”.
I have listened to this song in the past, but without paying much attention. Moreover I was not aware about the details of this song at that time.
Now that I am aware of these details, I truly salute Madan Mohan. In the same movie, he had come up with another classic song ‘bairan neend na aaye”. To come up with a Lata classic, as well as a Kishore Kumar classic in the same movie is quite amazing. Yes, this Kishore Kumar song is very much a classic song. It is a song that people would enjoy listening to, even if they are not aware which movie this song is from.
As I mentioned, this song is a Kishore Kumar classic, even though this song is not readily available or widely known.
