We all know that Shammi Kapoor married Geeta Bali in 1950s, but did he work with her in any movies the way his nephews (Randhir Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor) worked in movies with their wives ? I am told that “Mujrim” (1958) was one such movie.
Shammi Kapoor is the hero of this movie but Geeta Bali is not the heroine. It is Ragini who is the leading lady of this movie. Geeta Bali and Padmini make cameo appearances in this movie singing one song each.
Here is the song in which Geeta Bali is seen in this movie. The song is “chandaa chaandni mein jab chamke”. You have not heard the song ? Hear it, and you will realise that this song has the same tune as “mera naam chin chin chu” of “Howrah Bridge”. O P Nayyar is the music director who is common to both these movies.
Geeta Dutt sings this song. She was the singer of the well known song from “Howrah Bridge” too. Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist of this song from “Mujrim”.

These movies, viz “Coffee House”, “Miss Coca Cola” are not easily available, I think.

No…Miss Coca Cola may be coming out on VCD soon, though, according to Induna 🙂 I live in hope!

He did work with her in a few movies before he made it big, eg Coffee House, Miss Coca Cola, Rangeen Raatein (although she played his would-be brother in law in that one!) are ones I can think of off the top of my head. In Mujrim she only appeared in this dance as a special guest.
