I have posted a few songs from “Jaal” (1952) but I was not aware of this song.
I heard this song for the first time only just now and I was suitably impressed. This song is sung by Lata. I was not aware that Lata had sung any songs in this movie. Yes, she has sung this song, and how melodiously she has sung it !
Sahir Ludhianvi is the lyricist and S D Burman is the music director. The song is picturised on a pretty lady and I am not familiar with her. So going by the cast of this movie, I can look at the females in the list and guess one of the names. So I am guessing Poornima. Am I correct, or as happens with me most of the time, I am way off the mark ?
In any case, the song is superb. I loved listening to it.
