I had been thinking of posting this song for at least one year, if not more. But somehow I was not able to bridge the gap between intention and implementation. One reason was that I was not able to get the lyrics right to my satisfaction. In addition to understandable words, this song also has gibberish (which could well be words in some other languages) that I was unable to note down correctly.
Finally I have decided that something is better than nothing and let us not deprive people from savouring this great fun song just because I am not able to get a few sentences correct. I hope my readers with better ears than me will help me out in filling the gaps like they have done in case of a few songs.
So here is this wonderful fun song from “Funtoosh” (1956) which goes “dene waala jab bhi detaa detaa chappar faad ke”. It is sung by Kishore Kumar and it is easily one of the most memorable fun songs sung by Kishore Kumar. It is picturised as a party song on Dev Anand.
The song is fun, and so is its picturisation. The song is written by Sahir Ludhianvi and the music is composed by S D Burman.

Dev is so delightful here. I like all the Kishore on Dev songs —good voice match there.

yes yes, he appears in the song few times, that`s why I checked credit sequences of the movie, but his name was not mentioned in the title cards, but in 1957 Pyaasa, his name appears in the credit sequences…….
