“Naubahaar” (1952) is a movie that was a musical blockbuster during its time.
I have posted one song from this movie already. Here is another song from this movie. This song is sung by Lata and it is picturised on Nalini Jaiwant.
Shankar Jaikishan is the lyricist and Roshan is the music director. This is a sad song and the sadness in the voice gets conveyed to the listener wonderfully well. Shailendra’s words are in chaste Urdu and there are a few words where I have been unable to identify the word. Readers with better understanding of the language are requested to correct the words so that the lyrics could be made more accurate.
