This is a song that I was not aware of. I became aware of this song thanks to a farmaish by Raja.
When I finally listened to this song, I realised that it was quite a nice party song. But the audio quality of the song was so poor that understanding the lyrics was a problem. Fortunately I managed to find another link and there the audio qulity was better. The video quality is poor, but the song is quite a nice song to listen to. Knowing the lyrics makes it even more so.
Here is this party song from “Aadhi Raat Ke Baad” (1965). The song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and Rafi and it is picturised on Raagini, Shailesh Kumar and others. Prem DhawanAnand Bakshi is the lyricist and Chitragupta is the music director. Raja says that he is increasingly liking the music of Chitragupta. Indeed Chitragupta has created so many gems that he deserved to be in the big league if only he had marketed himself better in the industry.

Hi Atul, I quite enjoy reading your blog and admire the effort you put in. A beautiful song to say the least. Regarding this song the lyrics have been credited to Anand Bakshi everywhere on the net. How to clarify this issue?

Yes, it is penned by Anand Bakshi. His son has even mentioned the date when this song was recorded- 12 June 1963.

Thanks for posting this, Atul.
Even I had not heard this long back. It is one of my recent discoveries. But the first time I heard it, I already warmed towards it. Rafi-Asha have sung so many such songs together, most people only know their most popular ones.
