Indian culture has some values which may sound strange to westerners.
For instance, in the Indian culture, girls blush a lot on the topic of their would be husband. And taking the name of the would be husband (and even the husband in case of married women) is considered a no-no. This is a result of the teaching of the ancient scriptures which prescribe that women should not address their husbands by their names. So women have devised other forms of addressing their husbands. They would address their husband as “Sunte ho ji”, “Maine kahaa” etc. Later, when a kid is born to them, this comes as a heavensend as now she can address him as “Munne ke Baapu” or something similar. In case, the woman has to discuss her husband with others, she will use term like “Wo” , “unke” “inke” etc. Like, “Let us go shopping”. “Nahin, main to inke saath shopping jaaungi”.
Here is a song from “Sati Savitri” (1964) which is based on this topic. The sakhis of the lady are asking the name of her would be husband and the lady requests them not to ask her his name, as she feels too shy to utter his name.
Here is this song which is sung by Lata and her sahelis. Bharat Vyas has written a masterful song and Laxmikant Pyarelal, then in their initial days as independent music directors, have come up with a nice music.

Must say this is a lovely song. Never heard it before. Typical Bharat Vyas lyrics – pure Hindi.
Btw, what does “pankhudiyan” mean? Petals?
