I am not much clued in on the movie “House No. 44” (1955). This movie had Dev Anand and Kalpana Kartik in lead roles.
Here is a nice song from this movie which I first heard just a few hours ago. The song is sung by Lata and Hemant Kumar and it is picturised on Kalpana Kartik and Dev Anand. Hemant Kumar’s part of singing consistes mainly of humming, and one must say, he was a very melodious hummer.
Sahir Ludhianvi is the lyricist and S D Burman is the music director. The lyrics are quite witty and playful. This song in fact can be called a teasing song with a difference, where the girl is teasing the boy.
What a lovely song it is. Listening to this song the first time itself is enough to realise that this song is a gem.

Lovely song–I too heard it for the first time just now. Kalpana and Dev were a lovely pair. Dev at his Gregory Peck best.
