“Mere Mehboob” (1963) is a kind of movie that is popularly described as a Muslim social movie. This movie, like most movies of this genre had wonderful songs in it. In fact, the music of this movie was the major reason behind the success of this movie , the actors of this movie were just in the right place at the right time and benefitted from the roaring success of the music of this movie.
Here is a stage song from this movie, where Nimmi and others sing and dance on the stage. The song, which was hugely popular ( every song of this movie was hugely popular for that matter) is sung by Lata and chorus. Shakeel Badayuni is the lyricist and music is composed by Naushad.
It is nice to see Nimmi in a happy song for a change. 😀
