I had never heard of this movie called “Angaarey” (1954) not had I heard any songs from this movie. This movie had Nasir Khan and Nargis in it alongwith Pran and others.
This movie had several songs in it. Though I have not heard these songs earlier, I can imagine that these songs were quite popular during its time.
Here is a wonderful “Chhayaageet” category of song from this movie. It is sung by Talat Mehmood. It is picturised on Nasir Khan is a moonlit night waiting for his beloved.
Sahir Ludhianvi is the lyricist and S D Burman is the music director. Yes, this song is from that era when Sahir Ludhiuanvi still worked with S D Burman and other leading music directors of those days.
Here is this forgotten gem from “Angaarey” (1954). I am sure music lovers will love listening to this song.
