“Pyaase Panchhi” (1960) is a movie starring Mehmood and Ameeta. Most probably this movie met the same fate as most movies that had Mehmood as the hero, viz the movie failed at the box office.
The songs from thismovie are nice to listen to. And I find it interesting to note that both Mehmood and Ameeta get to lip sync in the voices of several singers in this movie. For instance, singers like Manna dey, Hemant Kumar and Mukesh have sung for Mehmood, whereas Geeta Dutt and Suman Kalyanpur have sung for Ameeta in this movie.
Here is a song from this movie which is sung by Mukesh. Though only the audio of this song is available, I think that this song too is picturised on Mehmood. Indeewar is the lyricist and music is composed by Kalyanji Anandji.Like the other songs of this movie, this song too is a lovely song to listen to.
