When one blogs from the comforts of home, one tends to take many things for granted. It is only when one moves out that one may realise that the things that are extremely essential such as internet connectivity is not all that freeely available. Even then, I am feeling a strong urge to blog today, because today this blog celebrates its third anniversary.
Yes, this blog began on 19 july 2008 and it is the morning of 19th july 2011 now. I discuss a K L Saigal song as the first song of the day, but today I wondered whether I was going to be able to do it. With limited internet connectivity (which results when you are travelling on a train),such connectivity will be at a premium and I will have to use it judiciously.
Here is a philosophical song from “Omar Khayyam” (1946). This song is sung by K L Saigal.
Safdar “Aah” Sitapuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Lal Mohammad.
It is a lovely song which I heard for the first time only just now.
