“Baabar” (1960), as the name suggests, is based on the life of Babar,the first Mughal emperor of India.

This movie had actors like Gajanan Jageerdar,Azra,Sohan,Kapila,Shubha Khote,Randhir,Badri Prasad, Roopmala etc. Most of these actors do not ring any bells for me.

This movie had some nice songs in it, which is to be expected seeing that Roshan is the music director and Sahir Ludhianvi is the lyricist in this movie.

Here is a sentimental song from this movie which is sung by Sudha Malhotra. The song gets played in the background, while a lady is shown in the picturisation. I may have seen her in the past but my ability (rather the lack of ability) in identifying old time actresses) is well known. 🙂 So, I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify her.

PS-She is Sulochana Chatterji. As mentioned earlier, I have seen in the past, but I can still fail to identify her no matter how many times I see her. 🙂 I thank Prakashchandra for making this identification.

She is Sulochana chatterjee(I have seen her in Piya ka ghar(1972) as agha`s wife)

The lyrics must be I think “tum MAA ho” not “tum MAAN ho”
