When one talks of a movie called “Caravan”, one normally means “Caravan” (1971), but I have just discovered that there was another movie of the same name which was released in 1944. Very little information is available about this movie. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this movie.
Here is a lovely song from this obscure movie. This song is sung by Amirbai Karnataki. Kidar Sharma is the lyricist. Music is composed by Bulo C Rani.
I have not been able to get the lyrics right in a few lines towards the end of the song. I request our readers with keener ears to pint our the correct /missing words.

It appears She is Kamla Chattergi, sister of Sulochna Chattergi, whom Kidar Sharma married. Unfortunately, she died shortly after the marreage, leaving Kidar a shattered man searching her in Geeta Bali and other actors in the industry.

CARAVAN(1944),was a Ranjit studio production,produced by Chandulal Shah and was directed by aspi Irani.The music was by Bulo C Rani and the Lyrics were by Swami Ramanand,Kidar Sharma,Pt.Indra and Munshi Aziz.
The cast was-Arunkumar,Kesari,Kamala Chatterjee(Chatopadhyaya),Premlata,Sylvie st.Clair etc.
