Kaaghaz ki thhi wo naao

I just came across this rare song from an obscure movie. The movie is called “Zabaan” (1943) and it had actors like Dixit, Mubarak, Ishwarlal, Kaushalya etc in it. None of these names rings any bell as far as I am concerned.
Here is this wonderful song which is written by D N Madhok. C Ramchandra is the music director. The song is sung by Kaushalya. Seeing that her name appears in the cast, it would seem that the song is picturised on her as well.
I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this movie as well as its actors.

C.Ramchander is the most versatile composer of Indian Film Industry.He was the pioneer of modren film music. He was equally good at composing songs based on Classical music.He composed music for four films produced by Jayant Desai.namely Bhagatraj,Zaban,Lalkar and Samrat Chandra Gupt. The music composed for these movies was par excellence.Singers were Kaushalya.Vasanti,Amir Bai.Suraiya Hamida,Ishwarlal .Durrani and Vishnupant Pagnis. Kaushalya was daughter of the great Kathik dancer Lachhu Maharaj.I can post the songs of these movies on request.

.G.M.Durrani and Vishnupant Pagnis.The songs are available with me.
The two songs in the voice of Suraiya are par excellence.

Atul ji,
ZABAN(1943),a Jayant Desai Production film,produced and directed by Jayant Desai,had music by C.Ramchandra and the lyrics were by Mehrul Qadri,D.N.Madhok,Anjum Pilibhiti and Saraswati Kr. Deepak.
The cast included Master Bhagwan,Kaushalya(both in lead roles),Dixit,Ishwarlal,Vatsala Kumathekar,Mubarak etc.
Master Bhagwan,who was a stunt picture Hero in the 30s,was slowly turning to social and family themes in the 40s.It is difficult to believe that
in the early days of Bhagwan’s film career,he had developed a muscular body like Rambo,so essential for stunt films,as Heros like Master Vithal and others with lot of muscles were in the competetion.
Zaban was the story of a young and good natured boy who falls in love,but due to family constraints has to go away from his beloved,only to come back at the end of the film to find her still waiting for him.
