“Aurat” (1953) was a Varma Films Production and it was directed by B Varma. Starcast of the movie included names like Premnath, Bina Rai, Roopmala, Nazira, Purnima, Ulhas, Hiralal, Ulhas etc.

AURAT-1953 was produced and directed by Bhagwandas Varma under his own banner Varma Pictures.
Aurat is a story of how unpredictable women can be,how they can change colours and how it is almost impossible to understand them.Aurat story is loosely based on the famous Samson and Delailah story.
Adil(Premnath) is a young man with super powers.He lives with his dear mother and Roohi(Bina Rai) who is an orphan girl.Her father has entrusted her to Adil,just before he died.Adil is famous for his super powers.One day he saves Joohi(Purnima),the king’s fiance,from a raging Lion.The king is impressed with his powers and appoints him in his Army.Joohi now starts loving Adil,but he does not respond.The king is jealous of him and sends soldiers to arrest him,but Adil defeats all single handedly.
Hurt and bitten,Joohi throws her charms on Adil and he easily gets into her net.Now Adil spends time with her day and night.On one such occasion,Adil discloses to Joohi that the secret of his super power is in his Hair.Joohi drugs him and cuts his hair,making him an ordinary man.He is captured and jailed.
Roohi learns about all this.She comes rushing.She knows one secret formula to bring back his super powers.
With the help of friends,Roohi brings Adil out of jail.He now regains his super powers.He destroys the palace,the king,Joohi and all evil followers of the King with his brute power.
Contended,he starts for his village,but the people stop him and by popular demand,he is crowned.

oh oh what a great surprise for me , i was searching this song for a long long time. but i failed and suddenly world cup in my hand. what a beautiful song redered by none other than lataji. marvellous ,fantastic, i have been murmuring the words quite often but i was not getting onto the stanza. thanx atulji very very much.

Beautiful song with a melodious voice of Lataji. surprisingly, picture quality is also good for a 1953 movie! Today, Atulji posted a song from Baadal ” O anmol pyaar bin mol beeke….” picturized on the same actress, Purnima with the same singer Lataji and Premnath as a main hero. In Baadal, it was Madhubala whereas in this movie, it’s Bina Rai.
