“Chingaari” (1955) is an obscure movie by now. This movie was a co operative pictures production. It was directed by S Srivastava. Starcast of the movie included Shekhar, Nalini Jaywant, Leela Misra, Sunalini Devi, Pran etc.
The music of this movie has ended up in obscurity like the movie, but the music of this movie is a revelation. I have discussed one song from this movie in the past and here is another song.
This song is sung by Lata. Only the audio of this song is available (and let us thank our stars that the audio is available) but one can guess that the song was picturised on Nalini Jaiwant. Shailendra is the lyricist. Music director is Manohar Arora.
This song is a forgotten gem and listening to this song is a pleasure to the senses.

What a sweet lilting song. Lata has also imparted child-like tone to the song..allhad si awaz. No wonder Usha has imbibe the genes from her father.
Can you imagine a sweet sixteen chit of girl rehearsing Rafi and the likes for Dil Deke Dekho. Generally half the total songs get famous. Here all the song 9-10 songs became famous and all of them super hits. What a debut. Even SJ cannot hold candle to her as they were 2 of them plus much older and matured when they made their debut.

वाह ….. एक भूले बिसरे संगीतकार ‘मनोहर’ की याद ताजा करने के लिए धन्यवाद ।
चिंगारी का उनका पूरा का पूरा ही संगीत यादगार और असरदार है । इस एक गीत को ही ले लिजीये …. ‘शेलेंद्र’ के लिखे अनूठे और स्वप्निल बोलों को क्या और कैसे दाद दें , समझ नही आता ।
‘मनोहर’ ने क्या मिठ्ठी और अनूठी रिदम और मनोहरी धुन तैयार की है और ये मनोहरी धुन भी मचलते जज्बातों को अपने गंतव्य स्थान तक पहुंचाने में बखूबी कामयाब रही ।
इस गीत को HMV द्वारा निकाले गए लता के ‘ रेयर जेम्स’ कैसेट मे जगहं मिलना भी इस गीत की गुणवत्ता को दर्शाता है और लता के साथ साथ मनोहर की लाजवाब प्रतिभा का भी आभास दिलाता है ।
