Zara si baat ka huzoor ne fasaana kar diyaa

This song is not one that too many people may have heard before. Those who hear this song for the first time will immediately exclaim that the song has the same tune as Ho leke pahla pahla pyaar (CID) . As it is, the composer is the same for both the songs, but as for being the original, this song is the original and the better known song from CID is the inspired song.
Here is this song from “Musaafirkhaana”(1955) which served as the template for several O P Nayyar songs of subsequent movies. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. It is written by Majrooh Sultanpuri. Only the audio of this song is available and the video of this song is apparently not available, so this song could well be one of those songs which were excluded from the movie for some reason. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this matter.
If the song was actually picturised, then it can be safely assumed that the song was picturised on Shyama.
Song-Zara si baat ko huzoor ne (Musaafirkhaana)(1955) Singer-Asha Bhonsle, Lyrics-Majrooh Sultanpuri, MD-O P Nayyar
Lyrics
zara si baat ka huzoor ne
fasaana kar diyaaaa
zara si baat ka huzoor ne
fasaana kar diyaa
aise roothhe ho jee
sainyya ke
deewaana kar diya
zara si baat ka huzoor ne
mukh se na boli main to
yoonhi zara ban ke
itni si baat pe jee
chal diye tan ke
mukh se na boli main to
yoonhi zara ban ke
itni si baat pe jee
chal diye tan ke
bas itni baat ka
huzoor ne
fasaana kar diya
bas itni baat ka
huzoor ne
fasaana kar diya
aise roothhe ho jee
ho
aise roothhe ho jee
sainyya
ke deewaana kar diyaa
zara si baat ka huzoor ne
pyaar mein tere aisa
jiya mora dhadke
kehni padi hai dil ki baat nazar se
pyaar mein tere aisa
jiya mora dhadke
kehni padi hai dil ki baat nazar se
nazar ki baat ka huzoor ne
fasaana kar diyaa
nazar ki baat ka huzoor ne
fasaana kar diyaa
aise roothhe ho jee
ho
aise roothhe ho jee
sainyya
ke deewaana kar diyaa
zara si baat ka huzoooor ne
jab se lagaayi tore
pyaar ki bindiya
chain dinon ka khoya
raaton ki nindiyaa
jab se lagaayi tore
pyaar ki bindiya
chain dinon ka khoya
raaton ki nindiyaa
mere din raat ka huzoor ne
fasaana kar diyaa
mere din raat ka huzoor ne
fasaana kar diyaa
aise roothhe ho jee
ho
aise roothhe ho jee
sainyya ke
deewaana kar diyaa
zara si baat ka huzoooor ne

Atul ji,
MUSAFIRKHANA-1955 was a very hilarious comedy film, which had very sweet songs.I distinctly remember having seen this film in a cinema hall at Hyderabad,in its,may be a second run as a ‘morning show’.i had liked the film.
A Sadiq prodn. film,it was produced and directed by M.Sadiq.He was not known for comedy films, may be ,due to this the film did not become very famous as many places which could have been treated differently, were not and hence the total impact was not as much as desired.
The MD OPNayyar was in his element and this film had some outstanding songs like-Thoda sa dil laga ke dekh,Shamshad and Rafi,Achha ji maaf kar do,thoda insaaf kar do-Geeta Rafi and Agar babu dil hai kaboo by Asha and others.
Pity the film did not rank among the famous comedy films.
Bombay Chaupati was a normal place for those who entered Bombay with some cause and dreams.3 youngsters accidently meet here one day and become friends as thick as anything.
Prakash(Karan Dewan) ran away from his Delhi home, because he did not want to marry the girl of father’s choice.Francis(J.Walker) came from Goa as he was not allowed to marry his beloved Mary Jones(Kumkum) and Gul Yaar Khan(Gope) came from Kabul because creditors chased him. They have neither home nor jobs. They go and stay in a Musafirkhana(Saray).Gope becomes Watchman in a building and in trying to get jobs for friends, loses his job too.
These friends develop a ‘Hair Raising Lotion” and prakash sells this to Seth Mansukhlal(Omprakash). While selling the lotion he steals the heart of Mala(Shyama),daughter of the seth. After few days,Sethji, instead of getting new hair, loses all his remaining hair.he wants to give prakash to Police, but Mala requests him to wait till the second dose is taken after 40 days.Seth ji goes on business trip and Prakash and Mala get busy in love. The other friends also encounter funny events. One Mr.jack who wants to marry Francis’ girlfriend Mary comes to Bombay and these 2 friends beat him and are arrested.
Seth ji comes back to find the love affair of mala and prakash. He telephones his friend in Delhi that he should come with his son Ashok and Mala will marry him.Delhi friend-Ratilal-is actually father of prakash, who in fact is Ashok. When Ratilal comes to Bombay, after some goof ups,the matter gets clarified and Mala and Ashok get married.Mary also comes from Goa and Gul Yaar Khan gets a job in Bombay.

Atulji,
I have been reading a lot of the songs discussed in this blog but I find seldom any mention of Raag on which the song has been based or of technical details like use of zoom lens or trolly. For example in Tonga Songs that I was watching today I found a song picturised on Mehmood and Shobha Khote from Choti Bahen. It had wonderful cinematography. Camera angles were good and it seems the whole song was picturised on actual location no back pprojection or tonga on truck shots. I think such things should also be commented on.

I have no idea as to whether this song was actually picturised or not. My guess is that this song may not have been picturised and O P Nayyar used this tune for CID. The gap between the releases of these two films are not that wide for O P Nayyar to assume that public would forget this song if they had watched this one in the movie. So he would not have taken risk for getting ‘inspired’ by this tune for CID.
