“Ganga Jamuna” (1961) was a Citizen Films Production which was Dilip Kumar’s home production house. The movie was directed by Nitin Bose. The movie had Dilip Kumar, Vyjyantimala, Nasir Khan, Helen, Azra, Kanhaiyalal, Anwar, Nazir Hussain, S. Nazir, Akashdeep, Aruna, Naaz, Praveen Paul, Leela Chitnis etc in it.
I have discussed as many as seven songs from this movie. It has been pointed out by Mr Arunkumar Deshmukh that one more song remains to be discussed from this movie. So here is the eighth and final song from “Ganga Jamuna” (1961) in this blog.
This song is sung by Lata and chorus, though one can hear a bit of male voice too towards the end of the song. It sounds like Mahendra Kapoor’s voice to me and I have mentioned it as Mahendra Kapoor’s voice. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this male voice.
The song is poicturised on Vyjyanti Mala and several other dancers dressed in bright orange outfits and dancing in open space on the backdrop of picturesque and breathtaking natural surroundings. Watching the picturisation is a great experience for the senses.
The song is written by Shakeel Badayuni. Music is composed by Naushad.

Does sound like Mahendra Kapoor’s voice towards the end of the song as you mention. This song completes review of all the songs from the movie Gunga Jumna. Congratulations Atul!!
