“Navratri”(1955) was a Bhagyaudai Pictures Production. it was directed by Raman B Desai. The B grade religious/mythological movie had Manhar Desai, Nirupa Roy, Lalita Pawar, S. N. Tripathi, Sapru, Niranjan Sharma, Babu Raje, Kumkum etc in it.
The movie may not be known to too many people but a song from this movie namely ambe tu hai jagdambe kaali has assumed iconic status and this song has been discussed in the blog in the past.
Here is another song from the movie. This song is a duet which is sung by Rafi ands Asha Bhonsle. G S Nepali is the lyricist. Music is composed by Chitragupta.
Only the audio of this song is available so it is difficult to guess how and on whom this song is picturised. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this matter.
I heard this song for the first time only just now and I feel that this song is a forgotten gem that deserves to be known among music lovers.
