“Bluff Master” (1963) was produced by Subhash Desai and directed by Manmohan Desai. This movie had Shammi Kapoor, Saira Bano, Saira Banu, Pran, Rashid Khan, Mohan Choti, Niranjan Sharma, Jugal Kishore, Shyamlal, Anand Joshi, Santosh Kumar, Lalita Pawar, Tuntun, Charlie Walker etc in it.
with Shammi Kapoor in this movie, one would expect him to lip sync in Rafi’s voice. But this movie comes as a great delight for trivia buffs. In this movie, Shammi Kapoor does not lip syncs in just Rafi’s voice, but in three other voices as well. Yes, Shammi Kapoor sings in four different voices in this movie !
I have already discussed songs from this movie that were sung by Rafi and Mukesh and picturised on Shammi Kapoor. Not just that, I have also discussed a song where Shammi Kapoor lip syncs in Shamshad Begam’s voice. 🙂
Here is yet another song from this movie in yet another voice. This song is sung by Hemant Kumar and it is picturised on Shammi Kapoor. Hemant Kumar singing for Shammi Kapoor ! Yes, it is strange but true.
Here is this song from “Bluff Master” (1963). This song is written by Rajinder Krishan. Kalyanji Anandji composed the music.
The lyrics of this song were sent to me by Prakashchandra long back. In fact, it is Prakashchandra who pointed out this interesting case of Shammi Kapoor lip syncing in so many different voices in this one movie, which must be a record.
