“Baarood”(1960) was a Super Pictures production. It was directed by Aspi Irani. The movie had Sheikh Mukhtar, Honey Irani, Kumkum, Sudhir, Veena, Mukri, Uma Dutt, Babu Raje, Tuntun, Husn Banu etc in it.
Two songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. This song is sung by Rafi and Lata. The song is picturised on Sudhir and Kumkum.
This is a nice song to listen to and I had held this song up for several months, hoping to discuss this song on some special occasion, like say the birthday of Sudhir. But despite trying hard, I have been umable to find out the details about his birthday. Likewise the birthday of Kumkum, a much loved actress of those days too is also not known. So I may as well discuss this song now.
Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Khayyam.
