“Ek Teri Nishaani” (1949) was a Kwatra Arts Production movie. It was directed by B K Sagar. The movie had Trilok Kapoor, Meena Shorey, Ajmal, Shyama, Om Prakash, I S Johar, Cuckoo, Zahir Shah, Maruti etc in it.
Here is a rare song from this by now forgotten movie. It is sung by Asha Bhonsle, then a struggling playback singer who had not quite found her feat by that time. A Shah Shikarpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Sardul Kwatra.

Atul ji,
All the songs of ‘EK TERI NISHANI’-49 were written by Sarshar Sailani(Bhimsingh),except the above song,which was written by Munshi A.Shah Aziz or munshi Aslam Shah ‘Aziz’ and NOT A.Shah Shikarpuri.
Shikarpuri-47 was the name of the film in which he had written songs.
he had written songs also in Duniya na maane,Duniya kya hai,Aadmi,pati patni,kanyadaan,Karvaan,Shahenshah Babar,Shyamsunder,Daughters of India,Reshmi Saree etc etc.

I am confused as to whether Aslam Shah Aziz is the correct name of A Shah Shikarpuri or the latter is a different lyricist.
By the way, I find that two songs have been tagged in this blog under ‘A Shah Shikarpuri’ :

Looks to me that it may be just one person,sometimes writing A.shah aziz and sometimes writing A.shah Shikarpuri ‘aziz’ as in this case.
