“Bandi” (1957) was a Shree Raj pictures production. It was directed by Satyen Bose. The movie had Ashok Kumar, Bina Rai, Kishore Kumar, Anoop Kumar, Nanda, Shyama, Kanhaiyalal, Kammo, Banerjee, Misra, Krishnakant etc in it.
As many as seven songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the eighth and final song from the movie. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and chorus. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Hemant Kumar.
The song is picturised as a wedding song (Bangla style) with Nanda playing the bride. I am unable to identify the lady who lip syncs in Asha Bhonsle’s voice. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify her.

mr. prakashchandra is not correct. The lady he was assuming was not this one who also danced in films like Shriman satyawadi (in the song “aye dil dekhe hain hum ne bade bade sangdil”. The lady here is just a junior artist.

The lady lip syncing for the song at 2:41 is MEENA FERNANDES(who can be seen in
1)Sujata song:”tum jeeyo hazaaro saal”
2)Anari song:”Sab kuchch seekha hamne”
3)Ab Dilli door nahin:”Jeeyo laal mere tum laakho baras”

Nope, my friend, thats not Kammo. She has performed in the other 2 songs by Geeta Dutt in this movie, but not in this one.

The dancer in black saree looks like the lady who lip syncs for “Tum jeeyo hazaaro saal, saal ke din ho pachaas hazaar”(from Sujata).
The same lady is there in the picturisation of Anari-Mukesh song “Sab kuchch seekha hamne”, as a main dancer(She may be dancer Aruna,But I am not very sure about the name)
(Another junior dancer/dancer namely Aruna is there who danced in Yash chopra Daag song ni main yaar manaanaani”, not to be
confused with this “Lambi kadwaali”dancer Aruna.This Aruna is somewhat got more height than the Daag-dancer Aruna)
Please,correct me If I am wrong.

I agree with u Prakashji. This is the same female who appears in Anari and Sujata, and I also tend to think her name is Aruna, different from Aruna of late 60s as u suggested. She is not credited in this movie, and I dont have Anari/Sujata dvds with me right now to check movie credits to see if her name appears there.
And she is not there in Shreeman Satyawadi as suggested in the post below. I see Edwina etc over there.

The name Aruna appears in the star cast for Anaadi. I do not see her name in the star cast of Sujata.

That`s why I am in a fix. I am not very sure about her name also.
Her name is not there in Sujata Credit sequences.
