“Krorepati”(1961) was a Saigal Brothers production. It was produced by Om Prakash Saigal and directed by Mohan Saigal. The movie had Kisore Kumar, Shashikala, Kum Kum, K. N. Singh, Anoop Kumar, Mirza Musharaff, Radhakishan, Haroon, S. Bannerjee, Ramlal, Shamlal, Brahm Bharadwaj, Daya Devi, Pal Sharma, Prem, Dev Chand etc in it.
Two songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the third song from the movie. this song is sung by Lata. It is picturised as a car song on Shashikala and Kishore Kumar. Shashikala is shown driving a car as well as singing, whereas Kishore Kumar is the silent co passenger.
Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.

In one of her Radio interviews, Shashikala mentioned that this movie was produced by her and her husband(Arun ji whether Shashikala`s husband was a businessman dealing with “Ghee” ????,Shashikala spoke to that effect, per broadcasting disturbances ke wajah se teek main sunn nahin paayaa).Humerously,she told that after producing this movie she and her husband became “Roadpathi.”
