“Veena” (1948) was a Jagt Pictures Production. This movie had Rehman, Hemavati, Veera, Sulochana Chatterji, Leela Misra, Yakub, Girdhari etc in it.
Here is a forgotten gem from this movie. This song is sung by Shamshad Begam. Pt Narendra Sharma has come up with textbook Hindi lyrics that sound quite sweet and and appropriate in the song that expresses the feelings of a young heart in love. Anil Biswas in the music director.
The audio of this song is rather noisy and as a result a few words are unclear. I request our readers with keener ears to point out the correct words in place of the doubtful words.

‘saajan ke mann ka sandesa’ needs to be corrected as ‘saajan ke aawan ka sandesa’ .
And ‘upar(?) badhta jaataa musaafir(?)’ .. i think is ‘peepal patta sa tann kaanpe’ (needs further hearing again) !
